How To Make Time for Self-Care

What does self-care mean to you? Is it a night with no screens? A long walk in the morning? Maybe your favorite song and a dance party? Self-care means you prioritize yourself in order to be your best self every day. It can look different for everyone, but it is a must - especially for our busy parents out there! We understand that finding time for self-care isn’t the easiest thing, especially when you're running around taking care of kids and juggling a lot of other responsibilities. That’s why we’re giving you practical, helpful advice on how to make time for self-care.

  • Look for pockets in your day
  • Do you get a lunch break? Can you wake up 30 minutes earlier? Look for time throughout your day where you have a pocket to do something for you. If you feel like your day is too jam-packed, we recommend waking up 30 minutes to an hour earlier to carve out time for yourself. • Maximize your time
  •  We’re all guilty of spending a little too much time on our phones when we could be using that time to practice true self-care! Maybe you’ve gotten in the habit of scrolling in bed for thirty minutes instead of doing something to fuel you. We encourage you to look at where you may be throwing away time because you feel like it’s not “enough time” to do something important.
